Enrolling at our school
All students who reside within the Local Beenleigh Area are eligible to enrol at the school. All other enrolments will be at the Principal’s discretion.
Interviews will be held by appointment.
The application for enrolment is a 2 part process.
- Provision of the following by the Parent/Caregiver.
- Proof of Residence/Address
- Report Cards
- Birth Certificate, if the student has never attended a Queensland school previously or supplied their Birth Certificate to a Queensland School previously.
- Interview with the Principal. This appointment will be made after Parent/Caregiver has supplied the previous documents.
Proof of Residence
Parents who wish to enrol their children at Beenleigh State School are required to provide proof of their residential address. The following documents are required:
A current lease agreement, rates notice, driver’s licence, utility bill, or unconditional sale agreement, showing an address which falls within the local area.
Decisions on Enrolment
The Principal is responsible for all decisions on enrolments.
Where a Principal forms a preliminary view that an application will not succeed, parents will be notified. Parents may respond to the Principal’s preliminary view by making a submission to the Principal, no later than seven school days after receiving the preliminary view letter.
If no submission is received, the Principal’s preliminary view will be treated as the final decision and no further notice will be provided.
If a submission is received, the Principal will consider the submission and make a final decision. A final decision notice will be provided to the applicant as soon as is practicable.
There is no internal review of the Principal’s decision.
